We here at VESIT believe in interdisciplinary research activates. All the projects at VESIT are aimed to provide students with a deep working knowledge of the technical fundamentals, to educate engineers to be leaders in the creation and operation of new products and systems and to instill in researchers an understanding of the importance and strategic value of their work. Following are the research areas our professors and students work in.

Robocon 2005 was the National Robotics Competition held by Doordarshan at MIT. Automatic and Manual robots had to be made that could complete the required theme. Three automatic machines and one manual machine were made in the RAID lab. The VESIT team reached the Quater Final stages in the competition.
